The AWMA-CNY Chapter will host January’s monthly meeting with a virtual lunch meeting scheduled for Tuesday, January 11, 2022. Bob Beinstein, a US EGS Market Lead with AECOM will present on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG). A summary of presentation follows:
The #ESG World is Evolving — Are You Following the Trends? Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) is experiencing a period of rapidly increasing awareness and emphasis across the public, private, and financial sectors. This is approximately coinciding with the rise in concern about climate change and social upheaval. While the concepts underpinning #environmental #sustainability have been around for some time, over the last several years, several trends in both regulatory and technical spaces are driving new awareness of how ESG and systems thinking can drive real value creation. This presentation will offer a high-level overview of key ESG trends and dive a bit deeper into two key areas:
1) The role ecosystems and natural capital can play for both large and small organizations, and
2) recognition of the critical importance social value and environmental justice carry across our world.
PDH credit has been applied for and will be offered if it’s approved.
The meeting will take place via Zoom and you will be provided with a link to the meeting after your sign up, on the day prior to the meeting. The meeting schedule will be as follows:
